Pete the Cat Writing Activity

If you teach school in the lower grades, you probably know who Pete the Cat is. If you don't these are a series of books about a cat named Pete. They are repetitive books that the younger kids love. It's great for reading because they can repeat the words and gives them self confidence and self esteem while reading them. The very first book is Pete the Cat and his White Shoes. My kids did a writing activity using this book as a guide. They got to pick their own color and something that was that color and write and draw about it. These came out so good I hung them outside on my wall.
