Mothers Day

Lots of activities for Mother's day. It took a whole week to get all of it done! We ended up giving our bags to the moms at the Mother's day tea on Friday afternoon. It was a long week but the kids had fun with all of the activities, books, etc. I wasn't quite sure how big the tea was going to be since this was my first time doing it. Next year I will be a little more prepared!!!

Painting our gift bags. I just bought plain brown bags and let them paint them. I thought this was be so much more personal then a regular gift bag I bought.
Mother's Day cards. I found the idea on pinterest and did a little tweeking. The kids had a good time making them. I did not have a template for the flowers or pocket. I just gave them the instructions and let them go. Again, I thought it was more personal and they had more ownership over their work then if they had cut them out from a pattern! I helped spell the words and that was it.
Mother Day Book. I made these on my computer and they came out really cute. The pages inside would ask what there mom's favorite color, food, game, etc was. Things they did with mom and ther cute pages. I helped with the spelling again, but the ideas were all theirs.
The main gift was the flower pot with their hands on them. I made the pots out of old scrapbook paper and had them use three handprints for the flowers.

The finished bags I had them put their gifts inside and when mom's came for the tea they were able to give them to their moms.
