Dr. Seuss Unit-One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

We read One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish on this Seuss Day. We discussed rhyming words today. We made a list on chart paper and discussed how we knew that the words rhymed. This is a great book to teach rhyming-but all Seuss books are. One day of my kids said "Hey these books all rhyme". I took that as a teachable moment and we discussed how we knew all his books rhymed.

This was the craft idea we did for this book. I had them write rhyming words on the back of the paper with the fish.
