What have I been up to?

Well, Summer for me is officially over. I have had to attend a Writing academy for the last two days and then tomorrow I will attend a TEKS for Math training. But I have to admit I've had a great summer. I spent the majority of it at Mom's house in the mountains in Ruidoso. I did spend about two weeks in Waco at the first of the summer helping her with boxes from her recent move. I spent my birthday there.

June was a bit hot in Ruidoso, but about the second week in July, the rains came and the tempratures starting falling in to the 70's for highs in the day. I was so sad to have to come back, but I'm a little excited about starting the new school year. There's nothing like new crayons and markers, and also new kids!

Here are pictures of the summer.

my birthday celebration on June 9th. Mom took me to a great steakhouse in Waco called Diamondbacks. Chocolate cake and martini's....can't beat that!

The first day we were in Ruidoso, I ran off the driveway into a ditch and banged up my car pretty good. I had to have the insurance adjuster come and then we took it for repairs up there. If I waited to fix it in Midland, I would probably still be waiting!!

We took a little two day trip to Santa Fe with my aunts. It was a lot of fun and Santa Fe is great!

Lucy went with us to Santa Fe...she likes hotels!!!

One night when my Aunt was staying with us we went to the Inn of the Mountain Gods. The views there are awesome and we enjoyed some time in the Casino and bar!! (Hey, it's summer right?!)

The day after we went to the Inn we went over to Cloudcroft for lunch.

Spending some lazy days on the deck watching the wildlife!

Spent the fourth of July on the river with family.

Mom and I went out to see Family Feud at the Inn of the Mountain Gods the second weekend of July.
We didn't win anything, but we had a great time.

I LOVE THE SUMMER!
